Kahuna Body Work

The journey to restoration starts with you.

Ka Huna Bodywork is a Hawaiian Temple Style massage that offers a holistic approach to healing and well being.

The Benefits of Ka Huna Bodywork

By balancing the body-mind in its physical, emotional and spiritual dimensions. Everybody regardless of body shape, age or state of health can receive Ka Huna Bodywork. This style of massage is not only beneficial in conjunction with detoxes and fitness challenges but can also be very healing in times of grief and illness. It is an amazing tonic all-round for general health and wellbeing.

Where is the Practitioner Trained?

Restore-i’s practitioner training in the physical and spiritual aspects of Ka Huna bodywork, Polynesian floor massage and pregnancy massage is conducted at Mette’s Institute – High Spirits Retreat Centre located in Kin Kin in the Noosa Biosphere. Queensland's first UNESCO Biosphere. The institute is accredited by several associations of massage therapy in Australia.

Mette’s Institute trains practitioners to conduct a professional lymphatic drainage massage, incorporating client counselling with a deep spiritual focus - all in line with the 7 Huna principles.

What to Expect in a Ka Huna Massage Session

A treatment focus is set between the client and the practitioner for the session. During the massage deep breathwork is encouraged to assist in dissolving tension and drawing in fresh energy and inspiration. This allows the opportunity to let go of any limitations and deepen the experience of relaxation. The massage is conducted on bare skin using oil (coconut/olive) which is applied on the skin to ensure good flow, although a variation of Kahuna body work can also be performed - without oil.

Drink Plenty of Water

After Kahuna bodywork it is important to drink plenty of water to assist in the detoxifying process.

The Affects of Ka Huna Bodywork

Ka Huna bodywork is a powerful modality for healing and will affect each person differently. After a session you may experience a range of emotions and physical symptoms - due to shifting energy. By simply observing and staying present with the emotions without any judgement will allow for the integration of the process to unfold, flow and come together holistically. The effects of a Ka Huna massage can be felt for weeks after a session.  When we receive a kahuna massage a person elevates their body’s frequency, as the cell gets a vibrational change, and as a result it releases waste and eliminates toxins. The cell essentially opens up and dumps anything from the past that is unhealthy. This release of waste can create stress to the immune system. Due to the change in energy and frequency, the body begins to alter and shift, and this can result in flu like symptoms for many people.

Restore-i practitioners are always on hand to assist if any clarification is needed before, during or after a session.

' When there is a positive focus on our physical bodies with the intention of integrating and aligning it with our energy body - a tremendous amount of high frequency within and outside the body/mind is created. We may not be able to see it but it is something that is definitely felt'.
